For those who just want flavor and comfort, there is the braising bag.
The Braising bag gets you 10 pounds of delicious local beef each month, June through September.
Each bag will contain ten pounds of slow cooking cuts including a mix of roast, osso bucco, soup bone, stew meat, short ribs and possibly a steak. (London broil, flank steak, etc.)
Pick up will be at depot square in conjunction with the Evanston Farmers market on the second Thursday of each month. Purchase of the Braising bag makes you a member of the Bear River Herd Share. Your payment goes toward purchasing animals, their feed and upkeep and butchering costs.
